Chat now pauses before the 26th individual tool call and opens a friendly Continue / Stop dialog. Continue grants 25 more calls within the same live run, preserving provider context and pending calls; Stop preserves completed text, reasoning, and tool results.

The limit also applies within a provider response containing several calls. Closing the chat aborts a waiting prompt, terminal tool results end the parent turn before another prompt, and settled snapshots discard calls that were never executed.

Validation:

  • Production build, lint, TypeScript, mobile import checks, and repository testing gates passed.
  • 104 focused tests passed, covering batch boundaries, repeated approval, cancellation, completed progress, and shared confirmation dialog behavior.
  • Full suite: 5,841 passed, 120 skipped, 7 failed. The same 7 Windows binary-discovery/socket failures reproduce on the original checkout.
  • Interactive behavior in the running Obsidian UI has not been manually verified; the Obsidian CLI is unavailable on this host.
