Blender: Ensure you have the latest Blender version that supports
Python 3.11. Otherwise, download it from the official Blender website. -
Gemini API key: A valid API key is needed to access the music generation features. Login to Google AI studio, access your API key from Goolge AI studio

Internet Connection: An active internet connection is required for the AI music generation service.

On the Composer4U GitHub repository page, in the About section, click the Releases tab. Then, find the release titled
Composer4U v1.0.0 - Initial Stable Releaseand scroll down to the "Assets" section to download the Composer4U_v1.0.0.zip file. Alternatively, you can download it directly by clicking this link. -
Open Blender and go to
Edit > Preferences > Add-ons. -
In the Add-ons tab, click the
Install from Diskbutton (typically located at the top right). -
Navigate to the downloaded
Composer4U_v1.0.0zip file and clickInstall from Disk. -
After installation, locate
Composer4Uin the add-ons list and enable it by checking the box next to its name. -
Set up your Google Gemini API Key:

In the Blender Preferences window, while still in the
Add-onstab, click the arrow/dropdown next to the enabledComposer4Uaddon to expand its settings. -
Locate the field labeled
Google Gemini API key. -
Get your API key from Google AI Studio, copy it, and paste it into this placeholder.

Once all the above steps are completed, you can find the
Composer4Upanel in the 3D Viewport'sN-Panel(pressNto toggle) and also within the Video Sequencer Editor (VSE).
