Website request - send community topic alert on topic change (AI categorize馃)#19756

Description

What do you need?

Right now, the alert for a topic that posts in posthog.com/questions only sends when a question is created, not when the topic is edited. We need to send it when the topic is edited, because often its more specific or better suited when we adjust the topic rather than the user pics and the user is likely to have picked the wrong one.

I understand this can mean that it might ping in one place, and then ping in another place. I think that might be fine, but I'm also open to any ideas on how to prevent that. We could turn the alert off on the question create event altogether, and instead just maybe add something in moderation tools that pings the team when clicked (aka human has verified its the right grouping. But i don't like building something that requires a human to click something every time either, even though daily volume is low.

I think super ideal.... user doesn't even pick a category, they post their question, then we have a cheap LLM model read the title and text to compare against one of the listed topics, and it auto assigns it, then pings the team. Either way this would happen after question creation, and i think either way we should have "if topic changes, the slack alert should be resent", so we could build this specific function now and decide to implement AI categorize the question in another issue.
