Headings and bullet lists are too dark

I messed around with the config's textColor and background but it seems to have no effect on the headings and certain bullet points. They're barely visible. Anyone else having this issue?

Edit: It'd be great if the root element that's getting the style injected also has the class "darkmode-on" or "darkmode-off" so for these little edge cases, we can do our own CSS. I'd be happy with that solution.
