Didn't want to make separate issues for every single thing and they are kind of connected so it's good to have them in one issue:
Magic wand and square select
use square select on some area
use magic wand on different area
switch back to square select
observe a phantom square select with just the points:
Use square select outside the picture, but still in Pinta main area
Option to disable select bluish color:
Sometimes I just want to do something quick on a selected area and if you don't remember to click on any other tool that doesn't handle selections then the selection color overlay stays on and it can mess with stuff just like the modals issue.
Option to resize square select from any point in border and disabling the blue points:
Blue points can sometimes obstruct a part of image and you need to then adjust the selection once again. If they could be disabled and you could resize them using the border then it would be more pleasant.
Disable select border completely when moving the pixels
This one I think I remember from paint.net. When you need to align something very precisely you use arrow keys, but in Pinta the selection border always stays and you don't know if you aligned it perfectly. It would be nice to have an option to disable the border when you move the pixels. This could be confusing since moving pixels already doesn't show the bluish color of selection, but maybe it could only show border of the selection if few seconds passed without moving any pixels - mouse button down is a given to detect, but with keyboard keys you just quickly press them and it would be weird if the border was blinking with every key press.
