hi friends,

while I was running after configuration has completed successfully, it
gave error like this​:

I had to conduct Internet search to learn what NonStop-UX is or, more
accurately, was. I found a PDF from HP at this link​:
http​://tinyurl.com/6mhlmm2

If I read this document correctly, it appears that virtually all aspects
of NonStop-UX were declared obsolete by Dec 2010. If so, then we would
be unable to respond further to this ticket.

Any users of NonStop-UX out there?

Follow-up​: By grepping the source code, I learned that NonStop-UX was
listed as a supported OS in Perl 5.8, and Configure still has
'nonstopux' as a valid 'osname'.

That, of course, doesn't mean it's still supportable.

Thanks for trudging through old tickets. Unfortunately, this report
fell through the cracks.

We did use to have active porters supporting NonStop-UX, so the intent is
that we don't break it.

The fix might be simple. It might be that this version of NonStop-UX
can't use /usr/ucbinclude. I'd suggest the user try this simple patch​:

Of course, since it's been 6 years since the problem was reported, it's understandable if the user has moved on to something else\!

Meanwhile, if there is no reply in a reasonable period of time, this
ticket can be marked "stalled".
