In the sections starting "Glob also supports an alternate syntax" the example does not make it clear that quotes are not required. I suggest that another example be added in the code box without quotes.

Perl documentation is absolutely first class and probably one of the reasons I invested in using Perl 5 in the 1990s.
This glob feature is an excellent addition I did not remember and will probably start using it in some production code.

Quotes are not required, but it's worth noting that if the <> operator contains only a bareword identifier or simple scalar variable, it will resolve to readline() instead. Which certainly should be mentioned by these docs as well.
