Looking for pre-compiled source code for Perl v5.38.4 32-bit Windows platform?

We are currently using Perl 5.38.2 (32-bit) in our product, which includes several components and modules that rely on Perl. Due to known security vulnerabilities in version 5.38.2, we planned to upgrade to Perl 5.38.4, which addresses these issues. However, we’ve encountered a roadblock: the 32-bit version of Perl 5.38.4 is not available on the Strawberry Perl releases page, and we require a 32-bit build for compatibility reasons.

This has halted our upgrade process. Any guidance or help in obtaining a 32-bit build of Perl 5.38.4 for Windows would be greatly appreciated. If this isn’t the right place to ask, I’d be grateful if someone could point me to a more appropriate forum or resource.

This is not a bug report and it is wildly off-topic for this repository.

Have you followed the steps outlined for building Perl in [https://github.com/Perl/perl5/blob/blead/README.win32] ? With this, you can build your own Win32 Perl.

If building Perl that way fails, you can contact people to help you via the Perl5 Porters mailing list ( perl5-porters-subscribe@perl.org ), or irc ( ssl.irc.perl.org ) , #p5p or #perl .

@talhamasood1 Back then, I already advised you to stop doing this. Please learn about proper etiquette - repeating misbehaviour from the past time if you were told about it is bad form.

https://perlmonks.org/ is a forum where you can ask for step-by-step instructions to solve your problem. Github is not suited for that.

@Corion I’m here to ask for help and contribute where I can. If there’s a specific issue with my post, I’d appreciate constructive feedback. I genuinely don’t understand why asking for help would be considered improper etiquette.

"This repository is for Proposed Perl Changes - proposals to change the Perl language."

If you're looking for a single actionable piece of advice, let's go with "make sure you're opening your issue on the right repository"

Perhaps the perl org needs one of those github public organisation profile readme entries with details about what each of the repos are for and where to report bugs (say, for perlfaq or strawberry builds or cpan dists etc)?
