No 7 2 4 4: It was perfect 3: It needs some improvements There was too much content. I could follow the lecture, but some important information was missed. She gives a lot of helpful information, but in general, the tangents make it difficult to follow what information is pertinent to the task at hand. 3: It needs some improvements Since the lecture was so short, it might have been nice to do a simple in-class activity where we follow along instead of just presenting all of the plots. 2 Moving around more during the independent working section of the class might make asking you all questions easier. Also, standing/sitting in the front of the room instead of the back. 2 I think the order was good I wish the lectures had included more group-guided practice. Thanks!
No 8 7 0 2: It needs A LOT of improvement It was helpful, but more clarity could be provided. More examples would be amazing. 2: It needs A LOT of improvement Again, I think that this was rushed. More examples throughout, especially more complex examples would be helpful in completing the homework. She was very prepared. She could slow down going through the lecture. 4: It was perfect I think that this lecture was very good. Ben was very good and prepared. If anything, he could try to be more engaging in the lecture. 4 Some of the homeworks were a little long, but they were very helpful in practicing the material! 4 I feel like the order worked well and made sense. Everything built upon itself which was great. Overall, I think it was great! Having lectures once a week for 8 weeks was honestly ideal for my schedule. I feel like it might be harder to maintain attendance if it was twice a week.
No 6 5 1 3: It needs some improvements I think it would help if a bit more time was set aside during the previous lecture to help clarify getting the command line up and running. I didn't attend nor do the homework I didn't attend nor do the homework 5 You guys were all very helpful and friendly and definitely did a good job helping out with exercises. In general, I'd say the lectures were good but most of them spent a bit too much time going over extremely basic examples of the concepts covered before sending us off to do fairly tricky in class exercises/homeworks. I think it could be beneficial to close the gap a little bit there, meaning to include some more intermediate/difficult example exercises in the lectures that we go over as a class. 4 I think the order and pacing made sense. I think it's about the ideal set up for a boot-camp style class as is. Thanks!!
No 7 5 1 3: It needs some improvements i just remember this homework was the most challenging for me of them all - scripts that should have worked couldn't be found etc --> I wonder if you need to spend more time or go more basic?? 4: It was perfect She was very good! Lecture 6 threw for a loop because definitions were so long ago and there was a lot of definitions and arg parse took me a bit as well --> maybe lectures should be more basic or some kind of intro reading sent before hand? or assigned after to go beyond (I used the advanced section of the lectures) 3: It needs some improvements Conceptually this was the easiest - I'm not sure it needs its own day maybe cut in half and spend more time on scripts or other harder topics Really good 5 Helpful - Maybe it's good to know the TAs expertise. I've been helped by TAs who weren't familiar with the module and they were helpful but I felt bad for taking up so much of their time 3 scripts can be briefly introduced earlier even in the intro! I had a lot of trouble with basic script stuff (calling etc) which distracted from learning the internal modules Once a week is great. I said this in the midcourse evals as well but the in class lectures were too hard. I like the increasing difficulty in the homework that builds on the concepts. I feel like if they were part of the homeworks I could do them - I think people should just work on homeworks in class. (you can make them longer or add the in class assignments to it etc. I get that you want TAs to help with harder stuff but any help cuts down from the out of class time and I just had no idea what to even ask TAs with the in class assignments For the question: On a scale of 0-5 how much has your python skills improved so far? question based on skills acquired. I wanted to give you a 5 since I learned so much from almost zero! but of course on the grand scheme of coding I still suck lol
No 8 7 0 4: It was perfect 3: It needs some improvements It seems like this is a known issue, but this was a lot of material, and pandas is not super intuitive (or at least not to me). Ideally this would be two lectures. Perhaps the final lecture could be replaced with a second pandas lecture. 3: It needs some improvements 5 3 I really like the once-per-week format. I think twice per week would be too disruptive to lab activities.

No 8 6 1 4: It was perfect 3: It needs some improvements I found this lecture to be very complex (compared to the previous 6). It might help to use expand it into two lectures, so that students have more time to practice with pandas. I appreciate Sammy's hard work! 4: It was perfect It might help to provide a problem set for students to practice how to create plots with python (probably, this is what most of use could use in the future!). He explained everything so well; thank you, Ben! 5 3 I consider the order very appropriate.
