Running as root

When running Parcks as root, you will see the above warning. Running Parcks as root can have unwanted consequences:

  • All the commands (installation and post-installation) are executed as root. This can cause security issues, especially when the plugin doesn’t originate from the official repositories.
  • As the commands are executed with high privileges it is possible that some users on the system cannot use the installed features.
