What Does This PR Do

Gives a set of standard equipment to all bridges.
There are now 6 console stations, plus the captain's area. They are always located in the same relative locations on all bridges, and are colour-coded.

  • Security: Labor Points Manager, Security Records, Security Cameras.
  • Engineering: Atmospherics alerts, Station Alerts.
  • Service: Photocopier, ID Computer.
  • Science: RnD Backup Computer, AI Integrity Restorer.
  • Medical: Medical Records, Crew Monitoring.
  • Supply: Outpost Cameras, Supply Shuttle, Mining Shuttle.

The Command Chair is situated in front of the communications console.
The ID reader and Starline telephone are in very prominent, easy to see locations, with no clutter covering them.

A set of shelves and tables have all of the following items:

  • Guide to Command SoP.
  • Command Multitool.
  • Spare PDAs and IDs.
  • Mechanical Toolbox.
  • Station Bounced Radio.
  • Remote Signaller.
  • Megaphone.
  • Intellicard.
  • Secure Briefcase.
  • Universal Recorder.
  • First Aid Kit.
  • Robot First Aid Kit.
  • Cell Charger + Cell.
  • Gun Charger.
  • Box of Doughnuts.
  • A chest of drawers for documents.

Why It's Good For The Game

Standardised equipment is good.

Having a photocopier on the bridge, home of paperwork, is good.

Having the console stations in the same relative positions helps to ensure familiarity with the bridge's functions even across different stations with different bridge shapes, increasing the ease of use for a command player.

Having critical equipment like the communications console and the ID reader displayed in prominent locations makes them easier to locate when required, improving ease of use.

Opinion: The AI integrity restorer should be located in the RDs office, not on the bridge, though I guess it matters less since the "steal the AI" objective has been removed.

You might also want to make a spawner for the loose items instead of just mapping them in

Fixed.

Opinion: The AI integrity restorer should be located in the RDs office, not on the bridge, though I guess it matters less since the "steal the AI" objective has been removed.

Multiple stations already have one on the bridge. Considering that the bridge also comes with an intelicard, it makes some sense. It saves the science station from only having one console, as all the other sci consoles are too powerful to put there.

You might also want to make a spawner for the loose items instead of just mapping them in

Probably not worth it to do so.
