In Markdown, you only put the hashes (#) at the beginning of the line, not the end.
Also, I am not sure what the 1. is for. It will probably show up in the document, so I would take it off

The [alt text] means "alternative text." It will show up when the picture can't load. It will also be used by accessibility features, like screen readers for blind people. You should change it for something that describes the picture :)

As a rule of thumb, leave a space after the last # at the beginning of the line.

The current setup tries to get the image from the /images folder as explained in the README.md. However, I do like the idea of using imgur.com so we can discuss the possibility of changing to that process.

This will not load as an image. Images use the syntax 
This actually was correct before, but I said you should write a descriptive text instead of keeping [alt].

Also, important thing. http://imgur.com/a/o3tc8 is the link to the website, not the picture itself! So that won't render. Simply add a .jpg to the end of the link (i.e. http://imgur.com/a/o3tc8.jpg) and it'll be OK

I believe many programmers are night owls, and the way I focus when coding overnight outperforms any of my other working routines." So I will start using Imgur for thumbnails, but the logic has not been implemented yet, so for now, please upload this picture to the /images folder with the name midnight-hacks.jpg and change this line for "thumbnail": "midnight-hacks.jpg"
