Overcast Warmth’s Discord Message Styles

A custom Discord stylesheet that adds custom message styles for certain individuals.

PRs are encouraged if you wanna add your own stuff!!! No tutorials yet but you can ask us for help and we’ll probably assist.

ok cool!! how do i use it?

Important
Requires Vencord with the ThemeAttributes plugin to function.

Simply put the link to the compiled CSS (on the dist branch) into any place that supports links to CSS files.

For example, you could put this link into your Online Themes list:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/OvercastWarmth/DiscordMessageStyles/dist/DiscordMessageStyles.css

Or you could put this line at the top of your quick CSS

@import url("https://raw.githubusercontent.com/OvercastWarmth/DiscordMessageStyles/dist/DiscordMessageStyles.css")

then you should be all set!

Alternatively, you can compile locally. This is less supported but it helps with editing the style manually so we will still help with this a little bit!!

The setup that we have going on is a tasks file in VSCode that we use to compile easily:

vscode/tasks.json
{
	// See https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=733558
	// for the documentation about the tasks.json format
	"version": "2.0.0",
	"tasks": [
		{
			"label": "Compile Locally",
			"type": "shell",
			"command": "sass .\\src\\DiscordMessageStyles.scss C:\\Users\\ringl\\AppData\\Roaming\\Vencord\\themes\\DiscordMessageStyles.css"
		}
	]
}

It does require having Sass installed, and you’ll need to change the target path to use your user ID, but it should help you with editing and seeing changes in real* time.
