As of version 1.0.5, the minimum is indeed 40 and cannot go lower. In the next version (v1.1), the new minimum is 31 when the font size is set to the default size of 16. If the font size gets decreased from the Preferences, the timeline cel button size minimum can get even smaller. If we want even smaller sizes in the future, we would have to use a smaller font size for frame and layer buttons, rather than having them be the same as the rest of the interface. |
