that at least allows to quit the game and start a level, more if anyone feels like doing that.

we already have a branch with this, but it isn't in master, I haven't looked at the code yet and it probably needs to be wired to the right level name to start.

it is wired to a "demo" level, it works, and it allows to quit too.

minor problems I noticed:

• It spams stdout with "idMenuHandler_HUD::Update"
• If I press escape when in a level, the menu appears, but the mouse cursor doesn't. It does appear when I open the console, though
• when the game is starting up the menu appears (and is sluggish) before everything is loaded. maybe we could have some kind of splash screen then? (ok, this can probably be resolved later)

(In the cegui_layout_upd_assets branch I changed to code to load testmaps/test.map and loading that works fine)

and another thing

if you dmap a new map, you get a session message that still uses doom3 textures, I guess this is still hardocded in the menu c++ part in d3xp

(Maybe your testmap uses doom3 textures?)
