General Discussion

  • Abhisak believes that OpenSDN is yet to be popular in Thailand. People are yet to understand what SDN is exactly. Abhisak is currently collaborating with a university in Thailand to educate students about OpenSDN and host an OpenSDN workshop. He has spoken to Matvey and has already thought of a plan and is looking to host a 2-3 workshop with around 20+ students to educate them. The timeline for this workshop is June.
Next year they will introduce a course on OpenSDN to the curriculum so that more and more students get educated about the tool.
They want to move into a direction where more students understand OpenSDN and learn more.
They want to invite Matvey or anyone who is interested to join the meeting can come in and help educate these students. He will post the details of the workshop on telegram.

  • Matvey tried to set out some goals for the event 2-3 weeks ago. They came to a conclusion to that this is an opportunity for folks to learn and as many folks as possiblie should join in.

  • Should we do a preliminary announcement on Telegram?
    To inform them.

  • Yury from T1 shares they are working on testing the OpenSDN adoption. They have 1500+ hypervisors. They are facing some bugs & issues. They will continue this testing. The goal is to find out the limits how large can OpenSDN.

Action Items

  • Randy to come up with plan for upstreaming TF/OpenSDN operator from Mirantis to OpenSDN community
