Can cups send multiple print jobs continuously?

When printing with Airprint, you cannot accept more than one job at a time. Between each print task, we will waste a lot of time in file transmission, and we can't make full use of the printer resources.

Current:

transfer file1 --> print file1 --> done --> transfer file2 --> print file2 --> done --> transfer file3 --> print file3 --> done

Target:

pipline1: transfer file1 --> done --> transfer file2 --> done --> transfer file3 --> done.
pipline2: print file1 --> done --> print file2 --> done --> print file3 --> done.

two pipline run independently.

Does CUPS support target action, or is it the same as AirPrint?

The default is one job at a time in order to ensure jobs are not lost. You can add the "?waitjob=no" option to the printer URI to queue multiple jobs without waiting.

In fact, I want to realize industrial-grade printing on Mac, and realize the automatic production of a large amount of PDF orders (each order comes from different consumers, A4/A3/B5). I have encountered many problems on Windows, such as the slow speed of color printing (file rasterization, volume to expand), and it took a long time to process and transmit. Incomplete printing of documents, such as a total of 30 sheets, printing to 10 sheets will show that printing is completed and will not be submitted, and so on, is very frustrating.

I firmly believe that cups(ipp driverless) is the best solution, although I haven't finished developing it yet!
