Groupable layers with sub layers

It would be nice to group all your bass instruments together so you dont waste as much space. it would basically work how layers work right now, but now there are sublayers to the main layer that plays the same notes

This is something planned for version 4.0 as 'layer groups'. Since this requires a big layout change, it's only viable with a redesign of the current interface.

So, what I think would be cool, would be if you could solo layers or solo groups of layers with the same name in the drop mode Ex: solo "bass" to solo like 20 layers named "bass". it could give some more functionality to the layer names

Layer groups would add lots of possibilities to the workflow. We can use this issue to track all the possible cool uses we can have after they are implemented :)
