No reference for dgbsv (Lapack banded solver) on OS X

Hi, I installed Openblas on my mac specifically so I could use the LAPACK Banded solver 'dgbsv'.
It works fine on my Red Hat machine, but my OS X cannot find the reference to it somehow. I've checked my .bash_profile and my Makefile and everything seems good to go.
Anyone have any insight on this? @xianyi ?

Your Makefile.conf looks fine. Did you link the static lib (libopenblas.a)?

I do have a reference for the enclosing 'lib' folder in both, my .bash_profile and in my Makefile. The lines are as follows:

.bash_profile
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/Users/fortranrookie/usr/bin/openblas/lib"

Makefile
LIB = -L/Users/fortranrookie/usr/bin/openblas/lib

lib contains libopenblas.a

Could your try as following?

gcc -o test your_code.c /Users/fortranrookie/usr/bin/openblas/lib/libopenblas.a -lpthread

@xianyi That didn't help, I got the same 'no reference' error.
However, I did try
/Users/fortranrookie/usr/bin/openblas/lib -lopenblas
This got my code churning results right away! So it's working now, thanks so much for the help man!
