OpenGeeks Community Code of Conduct


The OpenGeeks community is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and professional environment for all its members. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations and rules for all members, ensuring a productive and respectful space.


1. General Principles

  • Treat all members with respect, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Encourage a supportive and collaborative environment.

2. Expected Behavior

  • Adhere to Guidelines: Follow the rules for any specific event, platform, or project within the OpenGeeks community.
  • Protect Privacy: Respect others’ privacy by not sharing personal information without consent.

3. Unacceptable Behavior

  • Discrimination or Harassment: Any form of harassment, discrimination, or abuse based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal characteristic.
  • Disruptive Conduct: Trolling, spamming, or any behavior that disrupts discussions or events.
  • Hate Speech: Sharing offensive, inflammatory, or hateful content.
  • Plagiarism: Taking credit for others’ work or violating intellectual property rights.
  • Malicious Activity: Sharing or promoting harmful software, phishing links, or other forms of cyber threats.

4. Reporting Violations

  • If you experience or witness any unacceptable behavior, report it to the moderators immediately via email or the designated reporting channel.
  • Reports will be handled confidentially, and appropriate actions will be taken.

5. Consequences of Violations

Depending on the severity of the violation, the following actions may be taken:

  • Permanent removal from the community.
  • Reporting to relevant authorities if laws are violated.

6. Moderation Policy

  • The moderation team reserves the right to take necessary actions to uphold this Code of Conduct.
