Windows users currently need to create an environment and start the web demo manually. This adds double-click setup and launch commands with a live console, localhost binding, and configurable Python, PyTorch index, model, device, and port.

The launcher passes the new --no-optimize option to avoid Windows compilation dependency issues and uses --inbrowser to open the browser after server startup. Existing app defaults remain unchanged. Setup validates Python 3.10–3.12 and defaults to CUDA 12.8 wheels, with a documented CPU override. Gradio and Hugging Face telemetry are disabled by the launcher.

Validation:

  • All 56 existing tests passed (python -m pytest tests -q).
  • Both PowerShell scripts parsed successfully; app CLI options verified.
  • Started via Windows PowerShell on Windows with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti; HTTP 200 from the UI and telemetry disabled in its configuration.
  • git diff --check passed.

Limitations: a fresh dependency installation and browser auto-opening were not exercised end-to-end in this verification; startup used an existing working environment with automatic browser opening disabled. No new speech-generation quality claim is made.
