Address unit test warnings #270
Description
The unit tests pass on dev, but raise some warnings such as to do with deprecated/going to be deprecated functionality in Pandas. Ideally these will be addressed to futureproof the package.
Definition of Done:
- Unit tests pass and no warnings are raised.
