Hi @luhuadong thanks for the pull request. Would agree that normally having it in an .md format is better for GitHub repos (we also considered making the same pull request). Currently what this is used for is the download site to get it as a .zip Unfortunately most computers aren't able to read markdown files by default (you usually need a more modern text editor) so it may be confusing for non-technical people what a .md file is. Would recommend leaving it as a .txt file because of the above unless the maintainers of the project have any thoughts on your pull request. |

Could any of the maintainers advise if this was the reason why .txt extension was chosen? If so it may be worth closing this issue without merging at this point in time |
