In particular, VS can be a problem because the VS authentication experience is interactive.

We frequently get claims of too many prompts by customers, but we have no means to correlate whether that's because of NuGet or the plugin misbehaving.

In general, when things do go wrong, it'd be helpful to have some info to better understand what happened.

It's not something I'm planning to work on myself, but I'd be happy to provide feedback and help with the investigation as necessary.
