Vinyl.it


This Node.js Houston project will serve as an academic playground for exploring the advantages of node.js in the world of mobile web apps. Utilizing a robust pre-existing API and database (discogs.com) we are afforded a solid foundation to build our solutions to the problems with blurring the lines between native and web apps… oh and it’s gonna be cool.

About Discogs

Each vinyl.it branch will explore various front end UI and node.js frameworks as we become interested in them. However all flavors of vinyl.it will take full advantage of the complete Discogs.com API features which are listed here but not limited to:

Discogs User oAuth handshake for gaining access to standard CRUD operations for

  • User Profile

Tasks

  • Sean - Use Cases listed out and general mobile web application introduction documented.
  • Christine - UI/UX Wireframes
  • Matt - Initial serverside scaffold setup
  • Alan - Help with logistics and coordiantion of moving pieces, configure and setup Trello board for future task tracking
