Ready-made module (i.e. "NiRen" labelled)

Refer to can_processor.h Line #10 to find out which GPIO goes to which pin on the module. If you're following the unmodified code, you are good to go using this schematic: CAN Bus Module Wiring

CAN Interface BM1

To install this module and make a connection to the controller of the heating itself you have to remove the cover and gain access to the delicate parts. I strongly recommend asking a qualified technician for this task. See: A word of warning

If you have access to the bus wiring, for example via the room controller on the wall, you can proceed connecting the CAN-wires to your board.

The Pinout of the BM1 interface and room controller is as follows:

  • 1 - 17..24VDC
  • 2 - CAN High
  • 4 - GND
  • 6 - CAN Low
