Description
Description:
Currently, in the UI of the NethVoice APP within the cluster-admin environment, there is no direct or convenient way to view which ports are open and which services are listening on them.
While this information is technically available in the Firewall section under Settings, the list lacks any labels or context to identify which port corresponds to which service. As a result, administrators must perform cross-checks with the environment or service configuration, which is time-consuming and error-prone.
Proposal:
Add a dedicated section or box in the Status view of the NethVoice APP that clearly shows the currently open TCP/UDP ports, along with the associated service name (e.g., IAX, LDAPS, SIP, etc.).
Use Cases:
-
When phones are not provisioned automatically, administrators need to know the LDAPS port to manually configure access to the centralized address book.
-
When there is a firewall in front of the cluster, users often ask which ports need to be opened to ensure proper operation of the system.
-
When configuring an IAX trunk, it's essential to know the port where the service is listening to complete the setup.
Benefits:
-
Easier and faster visibility of active services and their ports.
-
Reduces guesswork and troubleshooting time.
-
Aligns with the approach already used in the Controller NethSecurity APP (see attached screenshot).
Implementation Example:
Attached is a screenshot of the Controller NethSecurity APP, where the “OpenVPN UDP port” (20010) is displayed in the Status section.
A similar solution could be implemented in the NethVoice APP, with multiple rows if needed to represent different services dynamically.
