Kotlin closures status

Hi dear team,
first of all, thanks for you great project.
I have a question about kotlin closures. They work only in v1 for now. Are there any plans to move them in v2? Or are you planning to remove this feature?
We would really love to use this feature, but are worried about its future.

Hi @bugy, are you referring to the generateKotlinClosureProjections config option? If so, this should be available and have consistent behavior in v1 and v2. If you could point me to a code example that isn't working as expected I can look into it further.

This is the setup I have:

tasks.generateJava {
    schemaPaths = mutableListOf("${projectDir}/src/main/resources/graphql")
    packageName = "my package"
    language = "kotlin"
    generateClientv2 = true
    generateKotlinNullableClasses = true
    generateKotlinClosureProjections = true
    typeMapping = mutableMapOf()
}

This code generates:

• DgsConstants
• Types

@JsonTypeInfo(use = JsonTypeInfo.Id.NONE)
@JsonDeserialize(builder = Conversation.Builder::class)
public class MyType(
  id: () -> String = idDefault,

• Queries

@JsonTypeInfo(use = JsonTypeInfo.Id.NONE)
@JsonDeserialize(builder = Query.Builder::class)
public class Query(
  myQuery: () -> List<MyType> = myQueryDefault,
) {

And that's it. I don't fully understand how to use those as a client. For example, I'd like to execute a graphql query in tests.

If I generate client v1, then I can use DgsClient.buildQuery {
