3. can I take as input for the hadronic processes the NNLO grids?

activating QED only effects evolution, so you should be able to take all grids as they are in 4.1 (in particular I think we can re-use the N3LO also for NNLO)

I also can't find the scale variations associated to these theories, I guess I have to produce the theory cards myself. I will call the scale varied theories associated to 41041000 “410410{10..15}”.

watch out that the N3LO case is complicated, in particular we need to copy #2494 (but with QED=2). (Also if there is no reason for a gap in numbers, I would avoid that)

Any idea for the naming of the ones associated to 41041001?

choose your favourite one 🙃 you can stuff them, e.g., into 410411xy?

side comment (not necessarily an action required): the distance in ID w/ vs. w/o QED at NNLO is 41k, but at N3LO 1k

We start from N3LO grids only in the case of DIS, while for hadronic processes the grids are all NNLO, as in the case of N3LO QCD only (41000100), correct?

Does this apply both to DIS and hadronic FK-Tables?

Since Jelle is re-computing grids for N3LO QCD for DIS, I guess this affects also the production of N3LO QCD + QED FK Tables. For now I will compute only the FK Tables for hadronic processes and wait for the new grids regarding DIS. Let me know if that's ok

Do we want MHOU with QED? I thought MHOU were to be evaluated with the QCD only fktables (even when the central theory has qed)

We discussed this a little bit at the PC today and the agreement is to do the same as in the previous qed mhou release, which is documented here
