question: deriving COT from TFF

Hi,
Quick question for you on the data. Is there any relationship between the legacy cot data and the TFF data? Can one derive 'Commercials' for example from the data in the TFF report (dealers, asst mgrs, etc.)

More of a curiosity in trying to understand why they opted to break it down to the new format if the old format is not aggregation of the new.
If they can not be derived, than what are the differences really in these data sets?
