Validate WS Proxy functionality in CAM-Gateway

In removing the nginx gateway, some updates were needed to the demo authentication mode to ensure the WS API proxy worked. No matching original changes were identified on the cam-gateway configuration. It is unclear if that is because such updates are not needed, or if this functionality may have previously been broken in this mode.

Additional testing/validation is recommended.

This is saying something was changed in the config but not tested when using the real cam-gateway.  According to David Edell, all of our automated tests use the demo/sim configuration, which uses a different apache configuration.

On a related note: The current test failure on an open PR (either PR #287 or #300), whatever the fix for that is, likely needs to be applied to the cam-gateway config as well
