Why wait on the barrier at all then? |
Because to unblock the wait() on the barrier outside the if condition and the barrier is initialized with 2. This seemed clean enough to me. The second wait is in line 509 |

Without this, we block the barrier in the main thread which stops execution. Also, fix the computation of request delay.
