This page has turned into more of a mess and is just a list of notes for my mod only as a reference page, but I feel bad for anyone that has to read it lol. I will post the various changelogs here so they can all be in the same place.

Moved Anubis to DM to duel against Sera as a way to keep both in the game and in DM, and moved Rebecca into Sera’s spot to duel Tristan.
Paradox moved into 5D’s now to duel with the Tag Force mc, who uses a deck based on the three protagonists from the Bonds Beyond Time movie
Fixed the deck name of Sarina and Grandpa
Fixed the default base game’s Arc-V structure deck that was mispelled(can’t unlock it normally since it’s the deck from the tutorial)
Slightly buffed Mokuba’s story deck (It’s still intentionally bad, but a little better)
Changed the music. The game has very limited spots for music, so I tried to get one track from some of the older games including-
Forbidden Memories, Duelist of the Roses, Stardust Accelerator, Zexal World Duel Carnival, Tag Force 2/3/6/Special, Capsule Monster Colosseum, Reverse of Arcadia, and Yugi Power of Chaos

2.0 changes-
- Updated banlist to 12/10/2020
- Changed challenge decks of Akiza and Antimony (will do more next time)
- Added a new pack into the game with every single card in it (it’s in the Vrains section and can unlock it by clearing the very first duel in DM. Did it this way so you can start the game technically with every card available, but you can also entirely ignore this pack and if nothing else, can use it to keep track of how many cards you collected).

I’m sure they will update that soon so I have to fix the damn thing again.
-This mod includes most of my JP/Uncensored mod that changed the card art to the original Japanese versions, only replaced some cards with text that was visible on the card to their English versions (such as Last Will, Shield and Sword and couple more)
-The mod contains my exe that stops the game from pausing when the game is not focused or when you Alt+Tab (that’s only change in the exe), you don’t need this for the actual mod if you don’t want to use it.
-added 40 new duels (this is the max amount that can be added), including some missing story duels, some new duels to get certain characters into the game as playable and some bonus duels that did not happen. All new duels are marked with the name ‘Bonus’, and altered duels to have the alternate versions of some characters are labeled with * at the start.
-Added in multiple npc characters to now be playable, including npcs such as Yugi’s Grandpa, Shadi, Tristan, Luna, and more.
-Added in alternate versions of some characters that had them to be playable, such as the Orichalcos version of Mai, Unmasked Atticus, and others.
-Added in some new alternate versions of characters such as Supreme King version of Jaden, Society of Light version of Alexis and a couple more.
-Added in entirely new characters that were not in the game, some that were missing from the anime or movies and a couple from the Tag Force games.
-created 80 new decks for all those new duels (one for each character from the 40 new duels). I tried to keep these pretty centered around the anime style decks that the characters used in the anime, or even other games, which means that some are intentionally bad or weak decks (looking at you Mokuba)
-Created 56 new challenge decks for the newly added characters. These all are unlocked the same as others, by playing the final duel that each character is in.
-I did change 3 challenge duels, but I gave them to new characters. Pegasus’ Madolche challenge was given to Mindy in exchange for a Eyes Restrict deck, Slyvio’s Monarch deck was given to to the Vagabond for an Abyss Actors deck, and Anna’s Mecha Beast deck was given to Anubis for a Infinitrack deck. If you completed any of those 3’s old challenges, you can just play them again to win the cards from them (deck spots are the same)
-Some various menu or image changes
-Added some alternate art for some cards that have it (I’m not interested, at all, in changing any more of these lol, but you are free to follow my editing guide if you want to change art of cards yourself)
Note- The mod works best on a new file honestly as there’s some story duels that may get marked as already completed and ones you did complete may move down the list a bit due to how the save file works, but you can just play these again (including the reverse duels) to unlock the decks and characters from the new duels and if anything is locked, you need to play the duel above it to unlock it.
Double Note- While I gave the AI a bunch of cards and decks that it doesn’t use normally, that doesn’t mean it can pull off all the combos that a regular person would be able to do.

First-
-This mod was intended to add content only, not directly replace, overwrite, or remove anything. That is why I didn’t change any story decks or remove characters or other things.
-As stated above, this was a mod to add stuff only, meaning I didn’t change a lot of existing stuff, so if you thought a story deck was bad in the base game, it’s still bad now lol.
-This mod can be used as a base for future mods, so you can use my files as a base for your own mod to edit or change things like decks, characters, stories, etc, but if you use anything of mine, please at least give credit to me (Death/Moonlit-Death), as it took me a while to edit some of these files.
-The limit on total number of duels is 40. I added that many in so you will need to replace existing duels because it’s not possible to add more than 40. As for characters, I’m not sure what the total number is, but it’s probably around 240 total, I had 234 available, with 214 actually in game playable.
-While I did change some card artwork to alternate versions, I have literally zero interest in touching them again (keep in mind I manually edited all 7000+ cards in the first game to remove the watermarks so I still have a bit of ptsd of editing cards and not interested in touching them again lol
Part 2, new duels-
While I created a bunch of decks myself, I used some decks taken from ygoprodeck.com, all credit will be given to whoever made the deck, with a link to each page, and sometimes I did have to add or remove some cards due to either cards not being in Link Evolution, or the fact that I didn’t want every single deck to have 3x Ash Blossom and other cards that were prevalent in every single deck xD
Duelist Kingdom duels-
1. Episode 8, Everything’s Relative- Yugi vs Mokuba.
Not much to say here, this duel didn’t even have a winner in the anime, although obviously Yugi would have won. This was done mainly to get Mokuba into the game. Also this might be one of the hardest reverse duels in the game to do if you play with story decks because of how intentionally bad Mokuba’s deck is.

2. Episode 19 Double Trouble Duel.
This duel, Joey and Yugi were in a tag team duel against the Paradox Brothers, so I pretty much combined a bunch of cards Joey and Yugi used into one deck to battle against the Paradox Brothers deck. Para and Dox both have multiple high level and awful cards in their deck. I tried to give them cards like Doku and Dragonoid Generator to help make things somewhat easier.
3. Episode 46 Dungeon Dice Monsters.
This was done mainly to put Duke Devlin into the game, and also I remember this duel since it made poor Joey have to wear a dog costume.

4. Episode 58- Espa Roba – The ESP Duelist
The duel that Joey won his Jinzo (the only card he was able to actually use from his Battle City duels later, as even if he summoned Insect Queen and Legendary Fisherman in a duel later on, neither of which really fit his deck.)

5. Episode 70 Double Duel
This duel had both Kaiba and Yugi against the Rare Hunters Lumis and Umbra. I combined both Yugi’s and Kaiba’s cards into the same deck. I originally was going to use a double sprite combo of Yugi and Kaiba together in the same duel (same as with Yugi/Joey in the Paradox Brothers duel), but it looked awful so I gave up on that idea and just had Yugi fight alone using a combo of both decks.

6. Episode 75 Friends ‘Til the End
This was a very memorable duel as it pitted little Yugi against his best friend Joey who was under Marik’s control. Yugi purposely removed Slifer from his deck to use Red Eyes, which is why that is in his deck here as well. Joey used a combo of his own cards along with a bunch of burn cards courtesy of Marik.
7. Episode 90- Mind Game
Marik didn’t get enough love in Legacy, as he went on a rampage through Battle City, here was his first duel against Mai. I remember most about this duel is the first appearance of my favorite god card, Ra, as he was summoned for the first time. Also I remember Joey protecting Mai and then Yami Yugi protecting Joey from Ra’s rage.
8. Episode 96- Showdown in the Shadows
Not much to say here, showdown between the 2 best villains from Yugioh
9. Episode 117 Noah’s Final Threat
Noah’s Virtual World arc was weird and had a lot of forgettable things going for it, but this was the final duel between Noah and Yugi.

11. Episode 194 One Step Ahead, Kaiba vs Zigfried
Well now that Zigfried’s valkyrie cards are in the game, it would be a shame to not have him in there as well, so here it is. I noticed that the AI doesn’t seem to reliably use some cards though. I can give them the cards, but I can’t make them use them lol
12. Episode 196 Sinister Secrets
Leon’s Stromberg card is not as illegal or powerful as it was in the anime, but it’s still an interesting card. I had duels where he played it on the first turn to summon Hex Trude out, then others where he didn’t play it at all. He probably could stand to have 60-ish cards in his deck tbh, that might help.

13. Movie duel, Paradox vs Anubis
This duel never happened of course as they were in 2 different movies. Anubis’ deck was pretty hard to think of wtf he should use since he only played like 4 cards, Pyramid of Light and the Sphinx cards. I gave him some other cards that may fit his theme, and even though the Pyramid of Light cards look interesting at first glance, not sure how useful they are in practice. Paradox meanwhile has a Malefic deck that also seems interesting at first, but certainly not for everyone.

14. Dark Side of Dimensions Pt. 1- Yugi vs Aigami
I thought this movie was pretty decent, albeit predictable. It was certainly nice to see the original characters again, a couple years or so older. For the decks, is there a reliable Cubic deck that exists? The AI usually bricked so hard in most duels

15. Dark Side of Dimensions Pt. 2, Yugi vs Kaiba
Poor Kaiba, on his eternal quest for redemption against Atem/Yami Yugi. Yugi’s deck was kinda a mashup of the deck he used in the previous duel.

18. (technically Vrains) Tour Guide vs Tag Force MC
Well here is the robot battle, but both of them turned into other things. I originally had this duel at the end of DM, but ended up moving it all the way to Vrains because Tour Guide’s deck ended up being a bit stronger than I was going for, mainly because of her using Link monsters and other stuff that wouldn’t quite fit into the Duel Monsters story section. Also I could have given the MC literally anything but settled on the Ancient Warriors theme as those were cards I wanted to check out since I love the Romance of the Three Kingdoms story, book and lore that those cards are based on.

19. Episode 69 Dormitory Demolition
Not that he was a good character or anything, but this was to get Bonaparte into the game, not much to say here other than most of the cards he used weren’t in this game so had to give him something else, so I settled on a 2004 deck where a lot of people who still love the old ‘Goat Format’ can appreciate.

20. Episode 78 Mirror, Mirror
This was done mainly to get the sister of Sartorius, Sarina, into the game. She dueled against both Aster and Jaden I believe, which is why Jaden is using a mashup of both of their decks. Sarina unfortunately didn’t have a single card in Link Evo, so had to give her something else.

21. Episode 123 School Ghoul Duels
Ah Fonda Fontaine. I have good memories of her from the gba game Duel Academy I think it was. If you ended up failing a school test, she ended up giving you an exam by the way of dueling her, to which you would get all the LP you had remaining as points you could use to buy card packs, which was a huge help, especially if you used an LP restore deck. Because of that and how much she helped back in that game, I wanted to put her into this game as well, even though I hate burn decks lol, she did use this kind of deck in either Tag Force or some other game.

23. Episode 173 The Invasion of Darkness! Stolen Memories
This one may have been a mistake. In all honesty I probably should have had the Atticus duel against his sister from earlier in the series. Nothing against Yusuke since I don’t know much about his character but his avatar and deck were a pain in the ass to make, mostly because of how few cards of his are in the game and the fact that the Clear World cards never seemed that good to me personally. He’s using a bit of a combo/mashup of his Tag Force decks

26. Episode 29- Good Cop, Bad Cop.
I thought this was an interesting scene, Carly trying to help Jack against a possessed Trudge who was being controlled by the Dark Signers. Carly was using Jack’s deck mostly and Trudge had mostly his deck with some deck destruction worm cards added in there as well.
27. (technically GX) Kuriboh Vs Banner
I originally had something else here as a duel, not sure what it was lol, but then went back added these 2 npcs to be in the game. Banner is using cards he used in the Tag Force games

28. Episode 43 Surely You Jest
I remember Crow was determined to believe Lazar was a Dark Signer even though he wasn’t, and this was mainly to put Lazar into the game.

29. Episode 77- Dawn of the Duel Board
Pretty much to get Luna into the game, not sure why Legacy left her out entirely as a playable character, she was a pretty important character throughout 5D’s and dueled a few times.
30. Episode 133 Against All Odds
Jakob was not playable normally and actually wiped out Crow and Jack, so it’s weird he’s not in game as a playable character. Most of his Granel cards he used in Tag Force are not in the game so he has a bit of a mix of his Tag Force decks.c
31. Mina Vs Blister
This duel never happened and is an extra one to get both into the game. Mina is using a deck thinning deck based on rituals, whereas Blister is trying to get the Machina big monsters out, but it rarely happens lol. Both decks are based on decks they used in other games.
32. Rally Vs Tenzan
2 npcs, now playable. Not much to say here.
33, and 34, Misty vs Carly- Ah my favorite girl of all yugioh Misty against Carly. 2 duels, one with the regular versions of each and other with an alternate look Dark Signer version of both. I originally didn’t intend to have literally 4 versions of Carly in the game lol but not complaining, as she was pretty quirky but likable overall, and as I said Misty is my favorite.

35. Episode 79 Doom in Bloom
I think Lotus has a nice look to her and wanted to include her in the game. Rio’s decks I used are centered mostly around the same theme, and Lotus is using a deck similar to what she used in Tag Force

Rio as Marin is in the game but barely seen, this includes her here. Decks are again based on Tag Force
38. Henrietta Vs Leo
The husband and wife battle. I didn’t know which deck to give either one of them honestly, since Henrietta doesn’t seem to duel and Leo’s cards are not in the game. I ended up settling on Henrietta learning how to pendulum summon and use Metalfoes and Leo as part of the fusion dimension using a deck based on fusions.

2 more characters to include here. Ray and all her incarnations are pretty damn cute (Yuzu being my favorite), so wanted to add her in here. Once again neither of their cards are in the game, so went with the Weather cards for Ray and a deck based on their brother Declan for Riley.

Both sisters seem like cool characters, but both are using Amazon decks which were already used by Mai and Tania, although the AI did a pretty decent job with these decks at first glance.
