Conway's game of life as screensaver, using the xscreensaver package.

At the moment, you'll have to build it yourself. Download xscreensaver, copy the .c and the Makefile to the correct position and build. (Directory structure should be the same as here in the repo) I'll write a buildscript to do that when I have time.
