The Random Filed in GeoStuido

"I would like to consider the effects of a random field in GeoStudio. Specifically, I want to create custom material properties and assign random values to individual mesh elements. My goal is to define a spatially variable property field (e.g., cohesion or friction angle) and apply it across the mesh to simulate material heterogeneity. I’m not sure how to implement this in GeoStudio. How can I define custom material properties and assign them to each mesh element individually? I would be very happy if you could help me with this."

Best of my current knowledge, I don't think GeoStudio handle heterogeneous material zone. One way to circumvent that is to create let say 100 materials with random properties with a given variation around the mean / median / expected value of the property, then create tiny regions corresponding to mesh elements, and randomly assign these 100 materials to each zones. You should be able to do that with the current state of PyGeoStudio. However I don't know how GeoStudio will react to that microregions but this should work in theory. Note this is my 5 min idea here. Let me know what you think!

Thank you very much for your response. I share the same thinking as you at present. I've first divided the area into numerous tiny regions to form a mesh, but the materials haven't been created yet. Currently, I'm eager to create materials via code, assign values to them, and then link them with the mesh. Regrettably, I'm unsure how to achieve this functionality using PyGeoStudio.
