I need to limit the number of generated total images

Some of my videos are seven or eight hours long, and the pictures generated by the dplayer-thumbnails command will become very large, so I need to increase the time interval for generating pictures to limit the total number of pictures to a certain range. 

I hope it can be increased some additional related parameters config to set?
