Description
The problem:
Clicking the mod manager download for mods on Nexus doesn't download the mod in MO2.
To Reproduce:
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Have MO2 open.
- Click 'Mod Manager Download' on a mod on the Nexus.
- Mod doesn't download.
Environment:
- Mod Organizer Version that exhibits the issue: 2.5.2
- Last Mod Organizer Version that did not exhibit the issue (if applicable): 2.5.0 (a month or so ago)
- Desktop OS/version used to run Mod Organizer: Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC, 22H2, 19044.5487
Details:
When trying to download a mod from Nexus through the Mod Manager Download, the download gets stuck on pending and I receive an error message: [2025-02-19 12:17:34.735 W] Aborting download: Either you clicked on a premium-only link and your account is not premium, or the download link was generated by a different account than the one stored in Mod Organizer.
Both are shown in screenshots below.
This issue was not present in the previous version of MO2 I used a month or so ago: 2.5.0. However, after updating MO2 I started encountering this issue today. I have troubleshooted practically everything I can think of for this issue:
- I have tried with multiple Nexus accounts
- I have tried by manually entering my API key
- I have tried to launch MO2 as admin
- I have tried linking to Nexus accounts through different browser profiles without extensions
- I have tried after restarting my PC
- I have tried manually changing nxm links to work with MO2 via nxmhandler.exe and changing the associated link in Firefox
