Ohtli is a free-access tool for creating and managing GTFS transit data, especially for cities where public transport information still exists mostly as operational knowledge instead of structured digital systems. Built around OpenStreetMap, it helps map routes, stops, and service patterns quickly, turning fragmented information into standardized transit feeds that can be used by maps, trip planners, and rider information systems.
More than a GTFS editor, Ohtli is designed as open digital infrastructure for public transport. Its goal is to reduce the technical and institutional barriers that make transit data production difficult in much of Latin America, allowing agencies, municipalities, researchers, and civic groups to collaboratively build and maintain interoperable transit data over time.
