@MilesCranmer looks like 2 independent CI failures (not obviously caused by checkout v6 itself):

1. docker job fails immediately at docker/login-action@v3: “Username and password required” (secrets aren’t available for Dependabot-triggered workflows).

   Usual fix is to guard the login/push step, e.g. if: github.actor != 'dependabot[bot]', or skip Docker publish on PRs.

2. conda_test fails in Install PySR while importing via juliacall/PythonCall.jl:
   InitError: UndefRefError: access to undefined reference from PythonCall.JlWrap → Exception: PythonCall.jl did not start properly.

   The traceback shows it’s running under .../lib/python3.14t/... (free-threaded build). My guess: PythonCall doesn’t support that yet. Pinning conda python (e.g. 3.12/3.13) or otherwise avoiding the 3.14t build in that job should get it green.

In the last failed run (21613044168), it dies in the Install PySR step when import pysr triggers Juliacall:

Exception: PythonCall.jl did not start properly

Notably that job is creating the conda env with python=3, which currently resolves to a python3.14t build on conda-forge (see the traceback path /lib/python3.14t/...). My guess is pyjuliacall/PythonCall.jl isn’t happy with that Python yet.

Likely fix/workaround: pin that job’s Python to 3.13 (or 3.12) instead of python=3.
