Description
Either an effect or section of the UI which shows more complex settings in relation to the instrument or song. If it's an entire section of the UI, then perhaps underneath the channel rows? Probably a horrible placement for bigger songs though, maybe just another section of instrument settings under the envelopes of an instrument. No clue where to put it for advanced song settings if there are any.
With the introduction of song settings, you'll be able to adjust any small thing about an instrument that you dislike, e.g. toggling the FM's "chorus offset" or inverting the waveform (like Dogebox2's effect checkbox). Speaking of effect checkbox, this could also preferably get rid of the percussion effect and instead have it move over to this selection of settings as that seems like a more appropriate place for it rather than an entire effect dedicated to it. I believe effects should be for changing common behaviors and/or sounds an instrument makes and having the more few-case-scenario things being put into somewhere else or not existing at all, and in this case, they'll be part of advanced instrument settings. Perhaps also having the advanced settings UI section be collapsable via a dropdown may be beneficial in case the user doesn't want to mess with said settings and not have it on their screen at all times.
Another idea for any potential advanced song settings: Along with the File, Edit, and Preference select-menus, add an "Advanced" menu button in-between Edit and Preferences for access to the settings without cluttering the UI.
