Hi, I am Matthias Vassallo Pulis, a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence (AI), which was pursued at the University of Malta, and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in the same field at the same University, with the aim of enhancing my knowledge on the areas I have a solid foundation in, and possibly discover new areas that I never got the chance to explore during my undergraduate studies.
🎓 My passion for AI began when I discovered its potential and the wide range of applications this technology brings. I love solving real-world problems using AI. My studies so far have given me a solid foundation in a variety of technical fields, especially in Data Science, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Game AI and Generative AI applications, which are considered to be the areas that I am most passionate about. Alongside these technologies, I have also worked on projects that involved other areas, such as Robotics, Information Retrieval and Natural Language Processing (NLP). I am currently expanding my knowledge into other areas, most notably Explainable and Interpretable AI, which have recently gauged my interest.
💻 Whenever I'm not working on AI projects, I'm constantly looking to improve my skills through hands-on experience with a variety of programming languages, such as Python, Java and C# (and learning new ones along the way), ensuring versatility across different platforms. 💼 Apart from that, I also work as a Junior Data Consultant at Deloitte Malta, which has also given me the opportunity to apply what I have learnt throughout my studies in the industry.
Outside of both work and studies, I am a passionate sports and gaming enthusiast, always making sure I am up to date with the latest sports news, mostly regarding football (soccer) ⚽, basketball 🏀 and American football 🏈, along with the latest gaming and esports news 🎮. Apart from that, I also like to work out, whether at home or in the gym 💪.
