Manim Notebook should still work for you and is available as VSCode Extension. While originally, I poured a lot of effort into this extension, I found myself using Motion Canvas afterwards as its project quality (documentation, ease of installation, ease of usage) surpasses that of Manim by far and as it also comes with a near-real-time preview in the browser. That's why I want to focus myself on other projects and not spend too much time anymore with this extension (which I had a lot of fun with to code 😊).
I will still fix major bugs, but no new features will be implemented in the near future. Maybe for 3D graphics or when I need to use a nice Python package for an animation, I will do more animation work in Manim itself, but for now, I stick to Motion Canvas, PowerPoint, Blender and other tools for my Splience YT channel.
