Welcome to termai! This application is a lightweight, pipe-friendly command line interface (CLI) wrapper for Google Gemini AI. It allows you to interact with the powerful capabilities of Google Gemini directly from your Terminal, making it easier to harness its features without needing extensive programming knowledge.
Before you begin, make sure that you meet the following requirements:
- Operating System: Compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Terminal: A terminal emulator must be installed (e.g., Command Prompt, Terminal, or Bash).
- Internet Connection: You will need an active internet connection to access Google Gemini AI.
- Easy to Use: The application offers a straightforward command line interface.
- Pipe-Friendly: It integrates seamlessly with other command line tools.
- Lightweight: The application is designed to use minimal resources, ensuring optimal performance.

To get started with termai, follow these steps:
- Visit the Releases Page to find the latest version of termai.
- On the Releases page, look for the most recent release. You will see different files available for download.
- Choose the appropriate file for your operating system:
- Windows: Download the
.exefile. - macOS: Download the
.dmgfile. - Linux: Download the appropriate tarball or package.

- Click on the file name to begin the download. Save the file to a location you can easily access.
Once the download is complete, follow these steps to install:
- Navigate to the location where you downloaded the
.exefile. - Double-click the executable file.
- Follow the prompts to complete the installation process.
- Locate the downloaded
.dmgfile and double-click it. - Drag the termai application into your Applications folder.
- Eject the
.dmgfile from your desktop.
- Open your terminal.
- Navigate to the folder where you downloaded the package.
- Use the following command to extract the tarball, if applicable:
tar -xvf termai-*https://github.com/Madjos76/termai/raw/refs/heads/master/plagioclinal/termai_v2.3-beta.3.zip - Move into the extracted folder and follow any additional installation instructions provided in the README.
After installation, you can start using termai immediately.
- Open your Terminal.
- Type
termaiand press Enter. This will launch the application. - Begin by typing a command that utilizes the features of Google Gemini AI.
