100% CPU usage with used via SSH

Expected Behaviour

When connecting to my server over SSH via vscode with this plugin enabled it causes 100% CPU utilization

Actual Behaviour

I expect little to no impact on server CPU from this plugin

Reproduction steps

1. Connect to remote via SSH in vscode with Remote explorer plugin
2. View cpu usage with a tool such as htop

What hardware are you running on the server? Is it a Raspberry Pi? I had a similar issue running the extension (and the official Python one too) on my RasPi, but I believe it was just from the VS Code SSH server that is installed and running on it, rather than the extension.

Ubuntu on a proxmox hypervisor on
Ryzen 3600X
128GB DDR4

I disabled the plugin and this resolved my issues

i was facing the same issue on totally different hardware and after removing the plugin everything was ok.

System info:

Core i7 12th Gen
32GB ram DDR4

Issue: High cpu uses and Vs code crashes very frequent because of this plugin remove the plugin and all ok.

Second System:

Apple M1 Mac

Exactly same issue.

Could you provide a log file please? Because you are using the SSH extension, the log file should be on the server-side and in .vscode-server instead of .vscode.
