That looks like a pretty neat library, but there are a bunch of issues that would need to be addressed upstream before we can use it:

• consider spot pricing
• consider mounted EBS volumes
• use region/Instance ID as baseline instead of an instance type

I've been looking at this and seems really slow for what we need, probably better to use the Attribute Based Instance Selector API instead.
