Hey, I'm Ashsmith! 👋

Thanks for stopping by my GitHub profile.

About Me

I'm a Computer Science and Business Administration student at Northeastern University, on track to graduate early with dual concentrations in finance and fintech.

I'm interested in systems, cloud infrastructure, databases, finance, and responsible AI. I enjoy building practical technology, learning how complex systems work, and thinking about how AI can be integrated responsibly into real-world projects.

Current Work

I recently wrapped up a Research Assistant role at Khoury, where I studied AI adoption in local government. This summer, I'll be a Teaching Assistant for CS 3200: Databases.

I also run Uniplex Host, a hosting startup focused on providing infrastructure for developers.

Outside of Tech

Outside of school and work, I enjoy playing Minecraft, Roblox, and chess, watching documentaries, and getting into stories with strong worldbuilding. I'm a Star Wars fan, my favorite character is Padmé, and my favorite show is Suits.
