Switches

Any modern, MX pinned switch will fix into the board. So far I've tried

• Cherry MX
• Gateron (both Official and Zeal; black bottom and clear)
• Kailh MX Clones
• Kailh Boxs (I can't say on whether the box stems stress out the keycaps or not)

Kailh boxes seem to fit very tight, but still fit.

The most important thing is to make sure you have the pins straight, the housing 100% clamped together, and that there's nothing obstructing the plate (I couldn't figure out why my spacebar was gumming up until I took out the switch to discover there was a dog hair between the switch housing and the top plate 🙄).

Also, if you're clipping 5 pins down to 3 pins, just get something like this tool . Don't mess with a hobby knife or rotary tool. (That's really outside the scope of this, but needs to be said)
