- I started my career in Information Technology in 1974 as a computer operator/programmer on an IBM System 3 writing RPG II code
- I subsequently worked for many Fortune 500 companies from 1974 to 2022.
- I have been writing Java and C++/C# applications since 1995.
- I also have extensive DBA experience in Oracle, DB2, MSSQL databases
- I am proficient in networks, routers, switches, hubs, IP4/6,... but not a heavyweight.
- I retired from University of California Office of the President in June 2022.
- I was the technical lead responsible for a government regulatory compliance system monitoring $8 billion is US federal grant funds across 10 UC campuses and 5 UC medical centers.
- I am interested in contract opportunities, but not looking for full time employment.
- I can provide impeccable references.
- I do not need to work, but I enjoy working on interesting projects with interesting people.
- I am motivated when I work on projects that have purpose, are properly staffed, well funded, and I can make a positive impact.
- I am not motivated to work on projects that are poorly managed, poorly defined, no clear direction, lack funding, and/or low morale.
