can't install by npm

I am having a issue with npm install. Please see after run the command 'npm install swint-pipe'

C:\Users\user\callback>npm install swint-pipe
npm WARN install Couldn't install optional dependency: Unsupported

It seems to be the problem with npm. Which version of node.js and npm are you using?
swint-pipe supports node version from 4.0.0.
