This is a small update that adds the rest of the 1.20 features I had planned as well as some other fixes and minor features!

Features

  • Added textures for:

    • Bamboo Button
    • Bamboo Pressure Plate
    • Bamboo Fence
    • Bamboo Fence Gate
    • Stripped Bamboo Block

  • Tweaked all of the Fence textures

  • Changed the Cherry Planks texture to be horizontal instead of vertical

  • Updated Torches, Soul Torches, and Redstone Torches.

    • Changed the way they are displayed in the inventory.
    • Updated their break particles, making them more realistic as well as emissive.
    • Now have subtle variations in animations.
      • Changed the Redstone Torch texture to have a pulsing animation as opposed to a flickering one.
  • Tweaked the Netherite Ingot texture

  • Added Lily Pad item texture

  • Changed the item texture for Pointed Dripstone

  • Removed the Brick and Nether Brick textures

  • Tweaked the Red Mushroom item texture

  • Tweaked the Blackstone Button and Blackstone Pressure Plate item textures

  • Changed the Ender Crystal item and entity textures

  • Tweaked the Diamond palette slightly

  • Tweaked the Diamond Boots item texture

  • Changed the textures for Diamond and Gold Horse Armor to reflect their palette changes

  • Tweaked the lotus flowers on Lily Pads to use less geometry.

  • Tweaked the unpowered Redstone Lamp texture

  • Changed the Fletching Table texture

  • Changed Hay Bale textures to match the Wheat palette. The top texture was also made to look rounder.

  • Removed the clouds texture (in favor of vanilla).

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Redstone Torch missing particles when attached to a wall
  • Fixed the Acacia Button & Stone Button block model UV mapping
  • Fixed the inconsistent UV mapping on all fence types
  • Fixed the height differences in Lily Pad variations to be even
  • Removed unnecessary or unused files
  • Fixed item rendering when holding Fence Gates

General

I'll organize these later:

  • Added a unique track for the Warped Forest biome, Exoria, a custom remix by me!

  • Ancestry no longer plays in Ancient Cities, but rather the Warped Forest. (subject to change)

  • Added contrast to quartz blocks in the inventory to make them easier to differentiate. (This does not affect the placed block)

  • Added emissive texture for Glowstone block.

  • Modified Glowstone Dust item.

  • Modified emissive texture for Glowstone Dust.

  • Modified clouds to be a smaller size in-game (texture is now 512x512) and added more easter eggs within them.

  • Added emissive textures for Crimson Fence, Crimson Fence Gate, Warped Fence, and Warped Fence Gate.

  • Fixed Acacia Gates not displaying correctly when attached to a wall.

  • Tweaked Redstone Torch texture.

  • Changed Sandstone and Red Sandstone (block, slab, stairs, wall) to have a uniform texture.

  • Changed Chiseled Sandstone and Chiseled Red Sandstone to show their patterns on both side with better tiling textures.

  • Changed Cut Sandstone and Cut Red Sandstone textures, subsequently the slabs.

  • Fixed the Calibrated Sculk Sensor model so that the amethyst texture on top isn't stretched.

Crops & Foliage

All crops have new models and textures to make them feel more natural.

  • All crops have random orientations. (inspired by ToeStub)

  • This was included in 1.0, but the models weren't made by me, they were meant to be placeholders.

  • Added textures for the missing Carrot stages, fully grown Carrots feature flowers as a visual cue for harvest.

  • Added textures for the missing Potato stages, fully grown Potatoes also feature flowers as a visual cue for harvest.

  • Changed Beetroots block and item texture to be more realistic.

  • Carrots, Potatoes, and Beetroots all have a slight chance to become a big variant. This is purely aesthetic.

  • Changed Wheat crops to be 2 blocks high.

  • Made unique textures and models for all ages of Pumpkin and Melon Stems.

  • Added Pumpkin bottom texture. (StormDragon77)

  • Beetroots, Wheat, Pumpkin Stems, and Melon Stems age 0 now show the seeds instead of sprouts.

  • Change Nether Wart crop texture (StormDragon77) and added a texture for age 2.

  • Tweaked Grass and Tall Grass item textures.

  • Changed Wheat Seeds texture.

  • Changed Birch Catkin texture.

  • Changed Acorn texture.

  • Added Cherry Tree Seed texture.

  • Fixed seeds not using the correct textures.

  • Added varieties to lily pads and a chance for flowers to be on them.

  • Lily Pad texture and palette (lily_pad.png) by StormDragon77 (All variety textures by LunaByte).

  • Changed Grass Block, Podzol, Mycelium, Dirt Path, Dirt, Coarse Dirt, Rooted Dirt, and Farmland textures to be more consistent and full.

  • Added textures for all Farmland moisture states.

  • Removed Dripleaf and Small Dripleaf item textures in favor of Stormilla's.

GUI Icons

In this update I added a lot of custom GUI icons to help differentiate buttons without being too distracting.

  • Changed poisoned heart icons to reflect the effect's palette.
  • Changed the Darkness effect icon.
  • Modified the XP and horse jump bars.
  • All effects now have a small icon next to their name that represents their mob effect icon.
  • Enchantments now have icons that represent its effect.
  • Modified the font to be more readable (this only applies to Latin characters).
  • Various menu options have icons to accompany the text.
  • For example, Music & Sounds has a music note as an icon.
  • Enchantments now have icons that represent its effect.

Unique Wood

All wooden planks, fences, fence gates, pressure plates, and buttons got unique textures. This includes: Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Crimson, and Warped:

  • Changed button block textures for all wood types.
    • Added 2D button item textures for all wood types.
  • Changed pressure plate block textures for all wood types.
    • Added 2D pressure plate item textures for all wood types.
  • Changed all plank textures to be unique, oak retains the vanilla style of planks.
  • Changed birch's item palette to be more appealing.
    • Birch Door and Trapdoor are compatible with Stormilla's 3D doors.
  • Changed wood fence & fence gate textures to be unique from their plank counterparts.
  • Changed door items. (tweaked from StormDragon77's textures)
  • Change Boat & Chest Boat items. (tweaked from StormDragon77's textures)
  • Added Trapdoor item textures (StormDragon77)

Changed sapling item textures to represent seeds:

  • Oak Sapling to Acorn.
  • Spruce Sapling to Pinecone.
  • Birch Sapling to Catkin.
  • Jungle Sapling to Jungle Pod.
  • Acacia Sapling to Acacia Pod.
  • Dark Oak Sapling to Dark Acorn.

  • Changed Chiseled Deepslate texture to feature the Warden.

  • Modified the blackstone palette to be consistent. (StormDragon77)

    • This includes Blackstone, Polished Blackstone, Blackstone Bricks, etc.
    • Added Blackstone Pressure Plate item and block textures.
    • Added Blackstone Button item and block textures.
  • Added Stone Pressure Plate item and block textures.

    • Added Stone Button item and block textures.
  • Changed Beacon model & textures.

  • Changed Torches, Soul Torches, and Redstone Torches to be animated and consistent with other fire blocks.

    • Held item texture is now the model instead.
    • Added custom break particles (displays the off version of the torch)
    • Variations in animations are present.
  • Changed Redstone Lamp on & off textures to be more distinguishable and clean.

  • Changed Wet Sponge texture. (Torrezx)

  • Changed destroy stage textures (breaking blocks).

Operator Utility changes:

  • Changed Command Blocks (Impulse, Chain, and Repeating) to have unique and symmetrical textures.
  • Added texture for the Debug Stick
    • Added Operator Utilities palette for ItemSwapper (doesn't apply to vanilla)

Tools & Equipment

  • Changed hotbar icons (hearts, hunger, experience bar, etc.).

  • Changed Netherite Armor items and models.

  • Changed Gold Armor items and models to reflect new palette.

Made leather overlays transparent as to not interfere with dying.

  • Dyes will now cover the entirety of the item and model, the once leather brown patches are now just darker colors of the dye used.

  • Changed tool textures to be unique and represent palette changes:

    • Wooden Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, And Hoe.
    • Stone Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, And Hoe.
    • Iron Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, And Hoe.
    • Gold Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, And Hoe.
    • Diamond Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, And Hoe.
    • Netherite Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, And Hoe.

Mob Effects & Particles

  • Absorption & Haste icons reflect the new gold palette.

  • Changed Blindness icon.

  • Change Night Vision icon.

  • Changed Glowing icon to feature a Creeper.

  • Resistance icon features a heart instead of a sword.

  • Health Boost, Instant Health, and Regeneration icons have been updated and reflect GUI icon changes.

  • Saturation icon now feature a golden meat shank.

  • Damage particle now represents a drop of blood.

  • Changed flame & soul flame particle to be consistent. (StormDragon77)

  • Changed heart particle to be consistent

Entities

  • Changed Enderman texture.
  • Changed Fox & Snowy Fox textures to have more realistic eyes.

Misc

  • Changed boss music for the Ender Dragon to play Smooth Fall by C418.
  • Added new splashes.
  • Some items utilize emissive textures (requires Optifine or Fabric alternative)
  • Small changes to the language file.
  • Added easter eggs in the clouds!
  • Enchanted item glint is sparkly.
